Brainbow

A bored scientist with a clear artistic bent creates this image of dyed neurones. Elaboration: individual neurones are mapped or dyed with fluroscent proteins, in order to make them luminate under a light source. Each neurone is subscribed a specific colour. Brainbows were developed in Spring 2007, by Harvard University scientists, Lichtman and Sanes. For more information, see Wikipedia: Brainbow.
