Angelina Jolie looking

Surely the nose is photoshopped?!

The above two photographs were taken by the wonderful photographer Steven Klein for a W magazine editorial. Love the second one, the first one reminds me of Lynch's Lost Highway or even The Shining!

The above photograph of Angelina Jolie is by David LaChappelle. I love the colours.

Cameras in Photographs man!

Nice photograph of Johansson, June 2007. The police guy looks Spanish, I'm not sure where it is but it is a nice shot none the less. She somehow manages to pull of that grey wash denim jacket too. Nice relaxed shooting. And...yeah man, a great camera in the photograph! She's talking to Woody Allen in a couple of shots. I have a feeling this is in Paris to be honest. To say that I am jealous of this camera would be a huge fucking understatement! She's got a Leica M6 - that thing is probably worth thousands, £5,000! Goddammit. Look how beautiful it is!

Surprising

Scarlett Johansson has released a Tom Waits covers record, which is an incredibly brave and indivdualistic thing to do as an actress releasing a debut record which is doubtlessly gonna be ripped to be shreads. I actually think it works and it's surprising. David Bowie is on backing vocals on this cover of Falling Down. I love the video too! Especially the red knit beanie she is wearing. Great aesthetic to the road trip vid. Although weird, weird cameo by Salman Rushdie. I mean, wtf? How does this man get into so many places?

The original innit.

Nicole Kidman, New York, 2003

Brad Pitt, Las Vegas, 1994

Wonderful photograph, in its saturation and use of colour, juxtaposition (or maybe just clashing) between the orange bedspread and Pitt's peroxide locks. Nice pants, btw.

Milkhail Baryshnikov and Rob Bresserer, Cumberland Island, Georgia, 1990

I fucking love the above photograph. I love the tonal black and white, I love the posture of Bresserer and the perfection of Baryshnikov. I love the homoeroticism and the ease of Bresserer's elevation of Mischa. How the two of them look weirdly happy just doing what they're doing on a Georgian beach. For my money, one of Leibovitz's best photographs. And the thing is, I love the relative simplicity of this photograph than all the shit she does with the Disneyfied, gimmick schtick, just stick to a beautiful shot with all the action in front of the lens not on a computer monitor afterwards. Less is more, Leibovitz!

All of the above three photographs were included in an exhibition entitled Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005, held at the San Diego Museum of Art from 10 February to April 22 2007.

Hot and talented. Splendid photograph.

Love the above camera! Looks like a Leica. Probably costs a few grand.
